Curtain Rail on Bay Window

We have a bay window in our bedroom (5 windows wide) and fitted a B&Q single pull rail with knobbly cord. The cord is so stiff to pull that it keeps wanting to pull the raw plug out of the wall. It was fitted properly (according to the instructions) but it seems to be not suited to the bay window although it said it was on the packaging. Does anyone recommend a a smooth operating rail that is suitable for bay windows.
