my husbands sister told him that she and her husband are being made executor of their mums estate, what does this actually mean my husband is worried that it means they could put his mum in a home with out his permission or if she was in hospital he would not hve a say,

It means that when she dies they are responsible for distributing her estate according to her wishes / will / intestacy laws and finalising her affairs. It has no bearing on her circumstances whilst she is still alive.0

An executor acts after someone has died to make sure that their wishes as per their will are carried out. Making sure that any inheritance is given to the right person and bills etc are paid. It has absolutely nothing to do with any decisions about someone's care before death. Power of attorney for health reasons is what would decide care decisions.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

That is a legal document in which the person names who they want to give the right to make decisions about either/and finances and health matters. If the person concerned is not able to make this decision due to mental infirmity then the court of protection will make this decision.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
