NHS and PPI

Hi I am looking into being miss-sold PPI.
I have been informed that if i work for the NHS and get 6months full pay and then 6 months half pay as my entitlement when off sick, I may have been miss sold insurance because i could cover the payments whilst off sick myself. The companies did request my employment status and what my job description was. The person who informed me of this has said that i shouldn't have been sold PPI as the lender would have known my sickness entitlement.
Also i had 2 periods of sickness (5 months and 4 months each) and forgot to claim, would this make a difference at all?
Can anyone confirm this please?
Thanks
Suepii:)

That is correct. If there is significant overlap then the PPI should not have been sold. The person who informed me of this has said that i shouldn't have been sold PPI as the lender would have known my sickness entitlement.
I disagree. In an ideal world people should know everything. However, to expect low paid clerks to know the sick pay of every other occupation is pushing reality.

You just need to put your complaint in stating you are NHS and have 6 months full, 6 months half pay and that the PPI was inappropriate is it overlapped. Thanks for the information, I think I need to start a claim.
For any others querying this I found this thread very useful and answered all of my questions http:// forums.moneysavingexpert. com/showthread.php?t=3521687&highlight=nhs
