Cost to tile a kitchen floor

Am about to tile my kitchen floor, have had a quote for £500, which includes the self levelling stuff as the floor is uneven.
Size is around 15 Sq Meters.

IS this a reasonable price?

Also anyone have any recommendations for tiles? Have looked in Topps Tiles and B&Q but cannot find any i like

https://www.homeelegance.co.uk.. They only sell marble tiles but it is really cheap. I got a quote for a white marlbe at £24 m2.. It is cheaper than carpet :)
  • if that is just for labour and latex screed (levelling compound) then u are getting ripped off. the screed will cost about £20 MAX. say the area is 5mx3m, then this can easily be done in one day. I would expect a price of half that...
  • Not sure I'd go as far as 'ripped off'. The going rate is about £25 per square meter, and leveling shouldn't bring that up at all really.

Maybe £370 inc screed. No polish tilers near you then?

Around here maybe, but you can almost double that in the Home Counties and add some more for marble.

He never mentioned Marble. His price is near spot on for LABOUR which is what he was talking about.

London may be a very different price, so probably about right.

£500 for labour only is expensive, more likely to be charged on a time basis than a m2 rate as the job is a one off.

£500 for a days work is expensive !
