We are getting a new sofa and not sure if this will fit through one of the 4 doors it has to get through to get to our living room. We still have a few days when we can change the order.
We live in a first floor flat so there is the security door
79cms wide by 197 tall
A landing door 79cms wide by 197 tall
our front door 79cms wide by 204 tall
the living room door 70cms wide by 204 tall.
This is the sofa
http://www.scs.co.uk/product/fabric-sofas/halo-3-seater-corner-chaise-sofa-scatter-back/
the front chaise bit comes off so it will just be a normal sofa shape.
the sizes of the sofa are:
86 cms high
217 wide
145 deep.
Any help would be great.

You need to draw an "L" to scale turn it into a triangle and measure a 90 degree vertical ie you will bring it in at an angle and you need the width on the angle.
By the way I don't believe your measurements, is that depth figure not with the extension bit?
Easiest thing would be to ask the shop and get them to take responsibility. Length will not be that important unless you have any tight corners to turn (usually overcome by standing it on its end) so just double check that too.0 -
the delivery men are used to getting sofas into houses and flats.

I spent 4 years with a local charity delivering pre-owned furniture to homes and 95% of the time the sofa was complete and not dissambled. In that time I guess we had approx 10% that didn't fit for one reason or another. The most common reason was a house being converted into flats or uPVC DG front doors.
Some new sofas come as a kit that the delivery team assemble when in the customers address so the size you see in the shop isn't the same as delivered.0
