    Replaced with wooden boards

did you treat rest of floors with chemical

No lifted floor covering just to check and everything looked ok, customers insurance c/o weren't interested in carrying out any further investigation.[/QUOTE]

    hi, its me again,
did you use new wooden boards or the old ones took up from the floor.

would chip board be a cheaper option than the wood as builder insists on it.
i prefer wood as i beleive it would be stronger and more solid.

was the floor covering/carpet just lifted to check, i thought all the original floor boards would need to be removed to replace the joists.
thus having to remove floor coverings/carpets anyway
    Nice to save.

You will be lucky to find any builde that will be happy to put the old floor boards back. T & G Board nearl;y always rupture in some capacity on removal and are therefore virtually impossible to put back. Chipboartd is the norm now and is as strong as timber. Its also waterproof, so is a better solution in the event of your central heating leaking etc.

If you want floorboards, go with floorboards. It would be new though as relaying old ones will leave you with holes down the side as the old tounges slip.
