When we started with the Sun hols we used to put all the dates & parks, but later on when we were more tied to certain dates we'd just fill in the form with the dates & places we wanted and send them off. Sometimes we didn't get them and were sent out a letter giving us priority booking next time (this was pre-online booking) and occasionally someone rung us to see if we could go on dates/places they had vacancies. They return your cheque if no holiday, so as you say 'nothing ventured...'.0

Thank you, I love Weymouth, are they both as close to Weymouth beach and town?
You can walk from 1 park to the next. Weymouth Bay is slightly nicer but very similar. Neither are very close to the beack or town (not walkable) but there is a direct bus from outside the park or its only a 10 min drive.0 -
I don't suppose anyone has ever tried their luck and sent off an application form stating just one date, have they? I wouldn't mind a 3 night break in a particular area but only on one particular weekend.
We have, and were able to secure the holiday we wanted, in half term holidays. This was a few years ago now though.0 -

Woolacombe bay holiday park is one of the worst ive stayed in, that would put me off staying at any of the other 3 parks owned by the same group. The caravan was disgusting.
My advice would be Parkdean Ruda at Croyde bay, its right on the beach and the park is really nice, we've stayed there 8 times over the past 10 years..Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Going to Seaview, Weymouth with Breakfree...is it ok there?0

Hi. Was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on family friendly parks in the South West. We have two little ones under 3 so are looking for parks where there are playgrounds, activities etc that they could do. Any ideas very gratefully received!0

We've been here several times. Its ok - nice area and entertainment complex nice - pool a bit old looking but you can use facilities at Weymouth Bay site which is next door and their pool and outdoor play area are good.
Lots to do around Weymouth.0 -

Great thanks. We will not be using the pool anyway. Unfortunately when I went to book no Weymouth Bay left0 -
Just would like to say Ruda croyde bay is lovely. Right on beach which is a vast expanse of sand. Lovely for little ones0
