Yes it was Mr PGs right shoulder, how spooky ! What with the the shoulder, the blue light kettle, we could be twins !!
Mr PG drove a truck to Scotland 5 days after the op, no idea how he did ( how he steered and changed gear is beyond me and best not to think about ) and he really shouldn't have but finances meant he did. My heart was in my mouth the whole time but no amount of persuasion from me would make him not take the job, so off he went with his arm in a sling.
Shaz, hope you feel better soon x
I think we were seperated at birth Pinot! Although as my birth was a decade before yours, that's possibly not true.
Mr Happy also said he won't need six weeks before driving. He says it would be different if it was his left arm because of the gear stick and hand brake, but because it's his right arm he can do everything except open and close the car door! My worry is that if he drives against medical advice his insurance might be invalid so I will be hiding his car keys until I've checked that.

Ah, facebook. That's another thing I've done in preparation for my comping career! I do have an account that I sometimes use, but I was worried that if I used it for comping I would end up spamming all my friends with adverts for ecover etc. So I've set up another one - with deliberately no friends - purely to use for this. Does that sound like a good idea or will the organisers know?! Anyway, thanks for the ecover suggestion - I've done it for the last two days - no wins yet but you never know and it's actually quite fun to do just in itself. I also do the Dorset Cereal daily spin-the-bottle one (that's not facebook, it's just their website) which is fun.
Ive only got one facebook account - although Im sure some of my friends wish i had another one for comps :rotfl: Mind you have noticed a few of them entering...
Belvita have an instant win comp on their facebook page at the moment, Kingsmill also often have one but not at the moment...
Keep an eye on your grocery shopping you'll be surprised how many comps you see advertised on things your buying anyway and they often need a code from the product packaging to enter... thats how I won £550 buyagift.com vouchers... a competition on matchmakers... granted I brought them just because of the competition so not very MSEbut the first lot were on offer and after that it was fair game as we kept winning... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (I only spent 35 and it paid for majority of christmas although friends/family were bemused when i kept handing out opened boxes of matchmakers I only wanted the code they could eat the chocolate!!!). They did get some amazing presents we would otherwise not have been able to afford so benefitted twice really!!! We brought my brother a bungee jump- he's always fancied doing one; horse racing day for brother in law and OH, hotel break for my parents and spa day for me and my friend...and lots of other small bits.
My kitchen should have a sponsored by magnum plaque as about three years ago before we brought the house they had a comp with codes on sticks you text in... we kept winning, had a freezer full of magnums and this is embarrassing but I actually mastered the art of removing the stick without eating the icecream returning to the freezer like a choc ice... until someone wanted one:o:o We won over 250 in the end and brought all of our kitchen utensils....and were eating magnums for months... I've found Ive done well on these sort of comps, funny how they never put these comps on healthy foods tho :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Shaz x, boo that you're back at work
, and wow that Mr Shaz needs a shoulder op too
. It must be quite a common problem (assuming it's the same condition - Mr Happy's is called a cuff tear), although I don't know anyone in Real Life with it, so maybe it's just an internet thing
.
Good luck with sorting the finances. Clearly I'm not the best person to offer financial advice :rotfl:, but the one thing I'm absolutely positive about is that you should do it quickly, while it's on your mind. If you haven't done it already I would recommend Martin's Budget Brain as a starting point, and take it from there ->

Hi Haybel, thanks for that. I've just done the Belvita one, along with my standard Dorset Cereals and Ecover. No wins yet, but with the number of things I'm entering everyday I'm sure it's just a matter of time
.
Thanks for the grocery tip-off too. I've just ransacked my cupboards and noticed my Utterly Butterly had one to win a year's free Tesco shopping by entering a code. Now THAT's a good prize, but sadly not mine!
Hmm. Matchmakers and Magnums. Two of my favourite things. I hope they run those ones again soon. Well done with them. x

Payday again on Friday and I have already updated my signature. Three little landmarks this month; my unsecured debt has dropped into the £65K zone, my % of unsecured debt paid off has gone over 5%, and my total debt including mortgage has dropped below £123K. Not earth-shattering, but going the right way
. It's left us with a very tight budget for the month but I think we can do it.
Today is Mr Happy's birthday. Although it's a lean month I still felt I ought to buy him a small present, but I have been very MSE about it. He needs to take a dressing gown into hospital but doesn't own one, so I got him one as his birthday pressie. I got it from M & S because their label helps with Keeping Up Appearances, but chose the cheapest one they sell.
I'm working from home today so I'd best crack on and at lunchtime I will hopefully get chance to catch up on the other diaries.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Hope Mr Happy enjoys his birthday !
Mr PGs shoulder was something to do with a Rotor Cuff, caused by a car accident unfortunately.
The dressing gown was a very good idea and aren't men difficult enough to buy for anyway ? ! I do the same as Mrs B at Xmas I stock the girls up with things they already need or would be needing in the short term.
