Just popping on with an update on my targets...
1) Deep clean as much of the kitchen as I can but at a minimum clean the oven which is well overdue - oven done and sparkling (don't know how long for)
2) Do my back exercises at least once a day - I have been doing my back exercises but not every day so will need to work on that
3) Limit myself to one treat a day - I have definitely had more than one treat a day, there is way too much temptation around at the moment0 -
Milann I'm so pleased to hear your news. It's a lovely time of year to be back in school. Just don't get carried away and try to do too much.
Dolphin Well done with the oven. It's a horrible job. As for treats, well, it IS Christmas (nearly). It's inevitable and I imagine we'll all be having 'calm down with the treats' targets for January. I hope you are fully recovered now.
My targets are going OK but nothing remarkable.
1) Glide serenely into Christmas Probably 70% there. I'm going to try and rattle the rest off this week.
2) Whole house to be cleaned this month. The bathroom is done now so there's only our bedroom still to do because I'm not bothering with the other bedrooms. The earlier rooms are now dusty again of course but that's cleaning for you.
3) Groom the dogs every day Donkey Dog's hair conditioner has arrived and smells gorgeous - strawberry yogurt flavour! It's still in the bottle though because it's been permanently raining. I'm quite excited to try it although I doubt he will appreciate smelling of yogurt - he's more a fox poo kinda guy.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Hi there! It's me here again after my sabbatical! You have all put me to shame on your targets!
I did my Noble November which consisted basically of a whole month of cleaning my flat top to bottom by way of a book called '30 Days to a Clean and Organised House'. I've been doing this each November for the last couple of years so everything is nice and ready for Christmas and the decorations. It all went well apart from I didn't bother cleaning the outside of my windows as we've got scaffolding around my block of flats at the mo and it's not worth bothering until it all comes down!
I'm not bothering with December targets but shall cheer you on from the sidelines!
Dolphin - I hope you're on the mend. Sorry to hear you've been poorly.
Happy - I had to laugh about Donkey Dog's new conditioner! You're right - he's not going to be happy smelling of yoghurt. It's going to ruin his doggy rep!:rotfl:Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

*phew*
Well that was a bit of a marathon, but it's now over. I'm so far behind with absolutely everything that I won't be caught up until well into the new year. I am therefore giving myself permission to bunk off skool and not hand in any homework until ... ooooh, let's think ... round about 'then' then. See you ... then.
And if that's not until the new year, merry thing and happy new other thing. *mwah*Better is good enough.0 -
HappyNow - Hope you are nearly sorted for Christmas and you managed to get the house sparkling clean. I am cleaning up to and including Monday and then if it isn't done then it will have to wait for the New Year. I refuse to do anything but the bare minimum from Christmas Eve to the 2nd January.
SSG - I'm intrigued by the book so I will check it out. It sounds like a lot to do in one month though. I'm not sure that I could cope with it physically, I have to pace myself.
Honey Bear - Nice to hear from you. Glad you managed to survive the marathon. Hope you can have a bit of a rest over the festive period!0 -
Update on my targets...
1) Deep clean as much of the kitchen as I can but at a minimum clean the oven which is well overdue - I have managed to clean two cupboards but it probably would have been just the one cupboard had I not managed to smash a vase in the other one and then had to empty it out to clean all the glass up.Pity I lost my favourite vase in the process though.
2) Do my back exercises at least once a day - Nope, hopeless.
3) Limit myself to one treat a day - Given up on this one.0 -
Milann I've had a catch up on your diary, your tooth story had me giggling. Seems you're coping with being back at work too so all good stuff
Wow SSG an epic cleaning marathon. The book sounds like a good motivator and although I've done the same thing without instructions this year I will bear it in mind for next year when my self-discipline will doubtless be gone.
Dolphin Argh about the vase but yay about your cupboards. Quite right to set firm cleaning limits from 24/12 onwards, it's supposed to be a holiday.
Honey Lovely to hear from you. You're not the only one who's been bunking off - my last post was a week ago - so let's say no more about it. See you 'then'.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

1) Glide serenely into Christmas Well there's been nothing serene about this week. I finished work yesterday until 8th January so once the next couple of days are over things should be calmer. Still got loads of shopping to do, still not wrapped anything and still not delivered cards to the neighbours. Mainly though, Little Miss Happy wants clothes for Christmas but there hasn't been a day when we've both been free. Hoping for Monday afternoon but everywhere will be mad.
2) Whole house to be cleaned this month. Still not done our bedroom but will sort that today. The rest is pretty OK, just a quick wipe round needed daily in case of surprise visitors.
3) Groom the dogs every day I've done this a few times but not daily. I have applied Donkey Dog's hair conditioner twice - it does smell beautiful but the cat will have nothing to do with him.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. I have read your entire diary as my bedtime reading for the past few weeks and have laughed and cried with you all. The thing that most struck me is your kindness and camaraderie and the cheerfulness. I love how you have tackled your targets and the monthly improvements. I can relate to a lot of it!
I would love to join in please if you’ll have me?
