ESA appeal/work programme

After not receiving my ESA payment I eventually managed to get through to DWP and was told I hadn't scored enough points at my medical in November (nice of them to let ME know). Anyway she is sending me out the relevant form(s) with statement of reasons. Once they receive this back, with a doctor certificat, I will get reduced ESA (and backdated) - having to borrow monies now to tide me over till it's sorted.
My query is, I forgot to ask the girl, will I still get the additional work related programme payment? Am I obliged to carry on with monthly appointments (next one on 9th Jan)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
