Cookie help please

I want to do cookie and ice cream sandwiches the problem is finding a cookie recipe that when baked stays thick and does not spread out as it makes them to thin for the sandwich,has anyone got a good cookie recipe with chocolate chips in it if poss that bakes and stays quite thick...thanks

I use this recipe for my choc chip cookies and they don't spread when baking. Not sure how the oats would go with ice cream, but they're yummy normally. I add vanilla extract instead of cinnamon.

Have tried this one from Anne Thornton http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/anne-thornton/caramel-chocolate-chip-cookie-ice-cream-sandwiches-recipe/index.html but unlike her's they spread they did taste delish though:-)0
