car loan turned out to be finance but some terms broken
Hi every1 help needed on this , i had a car which i got from Arnold clark but had an existing finance agreement on the car i was trading in so the salesman suggest a personal loan because it would b eaisyer to get rather than re finance for the new car. Which i agreed we sortd out figures got it sorted signed paperwork .a year later i had an accident and the car was writin off so i phoned the loan company GE money and informed them that i had writin off my car and would be receiveing insurance money and would it be possible to settle the loan . The advisor said i could keep the money and buy a new car if i wanted which i did . A few months later i received a letter from santandar consumer finance saying they had bought over Ge customers and the FINANCE agreement and the wrote off cars reg which shockd me because i thought it was a personal loan so i called santandar to infom them of the car being wrote off and told them i had bought a new car etc the advisor said he would have to call me back he called me back and said its ok just keep up the payments but even now statement i recive have my old cars reg on them have the broken terms of the agreement or ?. Because im struggling with the payments is there anything i can do ?
