seat belt not locking

in Motoring
i have a citreon xara, this morning i went some where, every thing was ok, when coming back, my seat belt will not lock. Any hints help on what can be faulty? is it easy to change?

The first thing I would do is try a squirt of WD40 into the locking mechanism and repeatedly try to engage the lock with the seatbelt and also pressing the release button repeatedly. It may well be a more involved problem that requires a trip to the garage to fix but for the sake of a couple of minutes effort it's worth a try.
If it does work then please beware of thin films of oil on the buckle, wouldn't want you ruining your Sunday best.0
