Hi all
I need some help and hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction.
On the 13th July a van reversed into me car in a car park. He reversed down a one way ramp hitting the front of my car and the underside.
He only gave me his name and the company name with the reg of the van.
I informed my insurance company (at the time) Adrian flux. I also informed the police.
Adrian flux passed me on to a loss adjusters "accident exchange" who told me to take the car to a garage to get it repaired. Mercedes where the only garage who would touch my smart roadster.
I was given a hire car and 3 weeks later my car was back on the road. I had to pay £250 excess.
The loss adjusters want all of my expenses including the excess receipt, loss of pay from work and medical treatment paid etc. All supplied and I made copies of everything I sent them.
31st august my insurance had to be renewed and Adrian flux said it would cost me £1300 to insure my car, but I found a cheap company at £700 and this as a quote with loosing 3years Ncb but they also gave me a quote of £360 when I get my NBC refunded.
In October I get a refund for the £250 and the letter says to contact my insurance company to get the 3 years NBc reinstated. Adrian flux said they have not been paid out for the work and for the moment I have to accept the fact I have 1 years . But if I have been refunded then they will get paid soon. Was the guys response.
Then the solicitors fom the loss adjusters write to me and say the 3rd party had come to settlement for the injuries. And I will get the cheque soon. This was 17th dec 2011.
But Adrian flux say they have still not been paid by the 3rd party.
Where do I go from here. Personally I think Adrian flux are trying to drag this out as I decided to leave them. I can't see why the 3rd party can pay me for the injuries which came to more than the cost of repairing the car and not pay my old insurance company.
Any ideas on where to go from here?
Thanks
Rick

Not the only thread I have seen complaining about Adrian Flux - link: http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/forums/motorhome-campervan-insurance/14398-daniel-adrian-flux.html“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” --Upton Sinclair0

Although all your expenses have been reimbursed, it could well be that the third party insurer is still arguing over the bills put in by your insurer/claim handler, (eg the cost of the hire car), and until these are settled you will still have the "fault" tag on your claim.0

Many insurance companies are disputing outlays put to them by other insurers at the moment, some more than others. Who is your actual insurer? Adrian Flux are a broker.0

Just a quick update. My accident case has been close in favour of me! This was actually done back in october but neither Adrian Flux (the broker) or Equity Red Star (the insurer) informed me.
Even after Equity Red Star updated my records to show I have 4 years NCB (later learner driver passed in 2007) Adrian Flux still refused to update their records, even though the lady I spoke to said they were informed back in october.
Anyway they have now sent me a new NCB letter stating 4 years NCB which is great and now the new insurers have been given this info and they have lowered their price from £760 to £360 and are due to give me a refund
Thanks to everyone who help me
Regards

Sounds like you would be better off dealing with the insurance company direct, instead of through Adrian Flux.
