I have a couple of questions about who the clients are in retail parks where there are more than a few stores.
1. Can one retailer use one of these schemes or does there have to full membership from all stores?
2. If only one retailer is required to set up a scheme, why does it think all the carpark is theirs and all other store customers are fair game too?.

Often one company will purchase the land, build different physical buildings, build the car park and then let the other stores to other large brands.
It's usually the supermarkets who do the buying, building and letting. They can pretty much do as they please with their land.0 -
The land will be owned by one company, with the retailers renting the various units, so it's the management of the land which gets approached and offered a solution to the non-existent problem of parking management and setting stupidly low time limits.
The best retail park I've seen has a cinema on it and a time-limit of 2 hours, just how many films these days (including the various adverts/trailers) clock in under 2 hours?0 -
We have one here with a 2 hour limit, there are 35 big outlets and two food outlets. So we go in have breakfast in McD's say 20mins and we plan to have dinner in Pizzahut say 1/2 hour so we have 1 hour 10 mins to visit 35 shops! Or a little over 2.28 mins per shop!!
The one quoted is owned by British Land, managed by Savilles! Having spoken to a couple of the shops staff they would rather the PPC were not there as its them who deal with the crap face to face. There is a large B&Q on the site if I ever have to return something I have bought within the none return within 3 hours clause, I always make sure I have the manager sign my receipt that I was returning an item, if asked why I tell them your not allowed to come back!!;) They are not normally best pleased.:D
There are a few retail park owners/managers who are very pally with PPC's must be the brown envelopes!:cool:0 -

Glad the local one does not have a cinema, they clamp after 3 hours.Its always busy but I wonder how much more business they would do without the 3 hour ban.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
