Teeth!?

Why spend £25k when you can spend £5k on the same thing. I got my teeth done (23 crowns) in Hungary just before Xmas & they are great. I didnt bother with veneers as Ive heard bad things about them, I got Zirconium crowns, which look lovely & very natural. I got mine done at Prudent who are in a small town near the Austrian border (stuffed with dentists for some reason). One tip if you go to Prudent, dont let them give you teeth that are too yellow. Their technicians idea of what looks good & mine are VERY different. I got B1, A1 is Hollywood, & then they add the yellow for a natual look. I had ALL the yellow removed from mine. I dont think most Britsh dentists are that good, certainly no better than Hungarian ones (unless you go for one of the top dentists)
just to repost my reply
"Twenty three teeth crowned when most people only have 28 teeth in their mouth is an awful lot of work and alot of tooth will have been sacrificed to put this amount of crowns on.
I don't know how old you are but presumably the teeth must have been in terrible condition to need this much work. I don't think in over twenty years I have ever placed that many crowns on one person.
Hopefully amongst all that treatment you have made the lifestyle changes and cleaning changes to keep the work in good condition as long as possible, and are starting a savings plan to replace as necessary.
Veneers are excellent in the right place , because correctly done they are alot less destructive than crowns and so less likely to cause nerve death etc. The problem is when veneers are used instead of conservative treatment such as braces to correct wonky teeth because they are seen as a quick fix. Then often excessive amounts of enamel is removed causing long term problems with sensitivity, pulp death and veneers coming off.
The very best and healthiest thing in your mouth is your own teeth. Once they have been drilled be it for veneers or even more so for crowns you have decreased the life span of that tooth. Crowns are never as strong or as long lasting as untouched tooth. There are many ways to improve the looks of a tooth but multiple crowns are not the way to do it healthily."
On the other hand braces such as Skipsmum had are an excellent non destructive way of getting a good cosmetic result particularly if retainers are worn for life or a permanent wire retainer cemented on the back of the teeth. No tooth has been destroyed and more even teeth are easier to keep clean. The downside is it is not an instant fix but then teeth are , hopefully , for life and braces are trendy!0 -

I dont think they mean spending literally all 25k on new teeth but just some of it
I would go for it - if it makes you happy & then save the rest.
I'm gonna be getting my nose done cos I hate it - went for my 1st consulation today!
I would maybe get braces or something though cos like the others said veneers, crowns etc will need to be done again in about 10 years.
