I would get a cheap unlocked phone and use GiffGaff as the service provider.0

Try the ongoing PAYG offers/deals thread in the phone forum. All the current cheapest/offers etc tend to be posted there quickly.0

ASDA and Family mobile (Ikea) offer the cheapest rates at the moment. GiffGaff used to be the same but they have put their prices up.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0

True but giffgaff gives you free calls and free txt messages to other giffgaff users. You just need to topup £10 every 3 MONTHS which goes towards your credit.
In some cases it works out cheaper than the cheapest.*_*_* Department of Redundancy Department *_*_*0 -
A few years ago we got a small Samsung £15 with £10 credit on Orange PAYG. Great thing is that we now get 2-4-1 cinema tickets on Wednesday with it. Look at a secondhand unlocked Sony walkman w595. Nice phone, good camera and good music system.0
