  • I cant believe they have the RRP's at 14 and 15 quid for a medium jar!! Yet another example of how they hike up the prices for the sake of being able to publisise 50% off! I love yankee candles but will not be buying any from debs! Stick to clintons and yankee doodle i think!
The only worth while at debs for yankee is....http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_58343+1201304_-1?breadcrumb=Home~txtyankee+candle

but doesnt sound too appealing to me lol :)

House of fraser have more choice in their sale, posted on here the other day

    http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Yankee+Candle+Home+Furniture/BRAND_YANKEE%20CANDLE_05,default,sc.html?prefn1=brand&prefv1=Yankee%20Candle&srule=price-asc&fix&spcl&sz=200

Their full price is similar to debenhams prices, I would only ever buy them at half price. The sparkling snow is half price and I really like this, it smells quite fresh and with a bit vanilla but not sweet and sickly, there are so many smells to choose from best thing is to find a shop with them and have a smell. Clintons have them and apparently some are half price in there too at the moment.

I would never pay full price for a yankee myself, I shop for mine in the sales. The one im using at the minute is Miseltoe and Fig.. Its yummy fills the whole living room and landing with scents. I paid around £11 for a large jar. In my opinion Yankees need burning for a few hours at a time to really appreciate the smell so i wouldnt personally but small jars as i doubt youd get much use... Aim to pay around medium jar 6-8 and large jar 10-11 pounds if you can find a good sale.

My fav scents are the above, black cherry in a red candle- this is strong scent and fruity and also the cupcake scent which is a light orange tan candle. This is very sweet smelling. Yum :rotfl:

I get most of mine in the sales -although do pay full price for rare or discontinued ones. I have over 100 jars and the cheapest i have ever got a jar individually was about £9 but often buy them in bundles on QVC or from Yankee Doodle.

My Debenhams had nothing in the sale at all; but i bought a couple of boxes of tarts from Clintons for 44p each.

oh might try clintons- debenhams had big ones for 9.50 with free delv so im happy with that got a few, yankee beat all others do get cheap ones b and m which are nice for smaller rooms but yankee burn to the bottom so they worth it paying that bit extra.
