Happy New Year Kayleighpea. Hope this one is all about debt busting once you're back from Australia! Remember I'm quite local to you so if you want an inperson kick up the backside let me know. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Evening all and happy 2012!
This is going to be the year for all of us I can see it now - massive winnings on the lotto for everyone!
Well we can dream at least!
Had a really nice (free) night round my friend's house for NYE last night and it was really good actually! Was only 8 of us (plus a couple of kiddies) but was a good laugh and would much rather do that than spend a fortune on a night out. Plus my friend even picked me up last night and dropped me home this morning so more money saving!
Then have spent the rest of the day on the sofa in front of the telly with the laptop
Have been fairly productive (ish) though, got the travel insurance sorted and through fatcheese too so will get a couple of quid back. Also booked a couple nights accommodation for my hol through it so will get some cashback for that and I won £5 on a lottery instant scratchcard thing so my £2012 in 2012 has got off to an alright start!
2019 will be my year!!0 -
I love nights in too, just as fun and much cheaper!
Glad you managed to get some cash back on your insurance, sounds like your all ready to go now. do you have many more hotels to book? If so it might be worth checking out some of the other cashback site to see if they cover any of the hotels.

Hi All!
I have returned from the land down under! Had an absolutely amazing 3 weeks - sooo did not want to come back! The wedding was absolutely perfect on a gorgeous island & I've already promised to go back out there and visit in 3-4 years time once they start popping out babies!
I have 2 days off still to get over the jet lag & back to work weds. Although I am thinking of popping in for a few hours today or tomo to try and catch up as we are straight into month end on weds and I have a month's worth of work to catch up on! Already checked my work emails from home and thankfully they're not too bad.
But for this morning I thought I better check up on how my money situation is looking and see if I can get any money saving schemes started :rotfl:I was pretty good on my hol really & managed to make my money last the whole time. It was just the last couple of days when I was out for Australia Day & getting souvenirs/presents when I got the credit card out!
Dad was worrying about my money too much & stuck £500 in my bank account which was awesome
But it is a loan though so I'm just hanging onto it for now to make sure I can get through Feb but I think I might be ok so should be able to just hand that straight back.
So gonna do some sorting now, a bit of checking up on accounts, surveys etc for now & see if I can get any mystery shops done before I have to go back to work
2019 will be my year!!0 -
Welcome home Kayleigh, glad you had a great time and managed to keep in budget!
I vote for not going in to work if you don't need to, bad enough trying to work on days youre meant to be there without doing the ones you aren't!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
