Hi All!
Hope someone may be in the know... Ive just purchased a studio flat and am finding it very difficult to find an insurer who covers a studio apartment, any ideas out there please?
Many thanks.

The only problem I had with my studio was because the person on the `phone said her computer wouldn`t accept zero bedrooms. I think I went with Sun Alliance in the end. I was very pleased with them when the man upstairs fell over drunk and pulled his radiator off the wall, flooding my place. Sun A replaced my TV and redecorated with no quibles.
  • Hi, The zero counter (or lack of) is the issue I have found obtaining online quotes! Thanks for the recommendation, I will give them a call for a quote. Thanks.

Hi - assuming that your flat is in a building or block of other flats is not the building insurance arranged by the freeholder or residents association or managing agents?

Will you be paying a service charge and if so will this include the buildings insurance?

If you need some advice over this and checking any documentation have a word with your solicitor as this is a very standard query for them.

    Best of luck

Thats true. I was assuming that the OP meant contents insurance. My buildings insurance was included in the service charge.
