there is defo a gap in the market for this age - retailers take note!
I buy my DS the small in man's size and get his jeans in 30 waist and 29 lenght from peacocks!
was in there today and they have a fantastic sale on at the mo - got two t-shirts and pair of jeans for £8!! should have been £42..0 -
I completely agree about a gap in the market for teenage boys. my son is 15 but is about 5' and a tiny 25-26" waist but he still wants to be fashionable and unfortunately we only have a tiny town centre so i have been trying for ages to buy him some chinos but i cannot find any for him.0

My 14 year old is dressed in Primark and a selection of outdoor wear from sports direct, towsure etc. Primark do extra small t shirts and slim fit jeans in small sizes and upwards. The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

Topman do 26" extra short available on line, about £26 if I remember correctly.
To OP I guess it depends on what sort of clothes your son likes and whether he is into fashion. If he likes wearing sports clothing then it's fairly easy to get trackie bottoms etc. I'm pretty sure Next kids stuff goes up to 16 (not in the shops but online), but my 14 year old wouldn't be seen dead wearing them, he likes Topman, Primark, and skate brands - wears XS/S mens.0 -
My son is 16. He can get away with 16 years jeans from Next. Buy him small in superdry, replay etc. If you keep checking Next online as they change their sale stock and people return things, I often pick up clothing for DS half price. Also sports direct, superdry store (pricey tho).0

I have the same problem with my 11 year old - he's blimmin tall for his age and has outgrown age 13-14 but the men's small and xs sizes are all too big in the waist! I'm completely stuck!xxx Nikki xxx0

My son is 14 tall and slim. I bought him some new clothes this Christmas from TK Maxx, quiksilver jeans from the kids section age 16 bargain price of £12 which have an adjustable waistband and from the mens section a soul cal hoody (think that's what it's called you get in Republic) I got a small and cost £18. TK maxx is hit and miss but i think worth a look. I also order online at Next as they go up to age 16 and buy him Superdry in a small.

Just dont buy too much in six months they will be out of it.
My 15 year old son went through 3 shoe sizes and two clothes sizes during the summer holidays,
Im just so glad it was the holidays otherwise my shoe bill would have equalled my mortgage!

Thank you for all the great suggestions. My DS is 5 ft 4in with a 26 inch waist. I totally agree that there is a gap in the market. I have tried primark and Topman but they don't fit. Men's sizes do not work on him :-(
We have tried H & M in the past with good results but peer pressure marks this as uncool now. There have been some great suggestions, I'm gratified to know I'm not the only person that has spotted this gap in the market. Retailers please take note, the public wants clothes for their older children.0
