currys and dell laptop

I bought a dell laptop from currys in March, by October the hard drive had broke. I accepted a repair. The hard drive drive has just broke again. Currys say they have to send it back to dell for yet another repair. I am not happy with this, but they say they have a policy to repair 3 times before they replace a product. I did try and state my rights to a replacment, but the y say they are right.. Can anyone help!

Comments

  • Repair, replace or refund is at the option of the retailer.
  • They are right - in fairness to them, a hard drive isn't really a 'repairable' component, so Dell will presumably be fitting a new, replacement drive. 2 failures in a short time is unlucky, if you get a third then the indication would be that there's something else going on.
