As above, I'm a daily dog walker and put some good miles through my welly boots. The last 3 pairs of Regatta boots have all split and I have had to take back.
Can you recommend a good pair or PROPER welly boots, comfort and practicality would be wonderful! Not that interested in 'style' i.e. Hunter unless they have bucked their ideas up? I believe they have changed their place of manufacture and have gone downhill....?

Does it have to be wellies? We walk our dogs daily usually through muddy fields at this time of year. I use a pair of waterproof walking boots, they keep my feet warmer than welly boots and I find them a lot easier to walk in. I think my last pair were about £25 from M & M direct.0

Another vote for muckboots, although they are expensive I have been buying childrens ones to keep the price down http://www.goytmill.com/detail.jsp?pid=55285&id=55315&src=froogle Although I can't find any cheap ones in my size at the moment they lasted me a year of daily dog walking through snow, mud, beach walks etc and I wore them all through the summer too.If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

Thanks all, yes have to be walking boots, have a lot of dog walks through water, deep mud etc! I use walking boots through the summer.
Completely happy to pay the cash if they are worth it, so glad to have two recommendations for Muckboots!0 -

My dog was a Newfoundland cross-long walks in wet and muddy places.I always wore Hunter wellies-lasted longer/more practical than walking boots and very comfortable. They are available at discounts online-or the local horse and rider shop always had good deals. This was for standard non flashy Hunters0

Eira, I know Hunter USED to be great when made in Scotland but now they are made in China, they sound terrible. See link below. Other names I've heard mentioned are Aigle, Hoggs of Fife and La Cheneau (sp)
