Firstly, when you telephone P4U please remember that the person on the other end of the line is just that, a person. My 18 year old DS works flippin hard at P4U Call center to put himself through University and I'll tell you now in his words 'You catch more flies with honey'. If you call and are nice and polite to the person on the other end they will try their damndest to get issues resolved for you.

Sorry, but this really annoys me. It's like saying, "we only take our legal obligations seriously if you beg and scrape."

The times I have been on the the wrong end of an arrogant twit, who thinks he has a bit of power so will not do what he is supposed to. The times that they will deliberately goad a customer into a pointless argument, having the excuse for ending the call. I had one who said she couldn't hear me, so I spoke louder and she said she wasn't going to deal with me, because I was shouting. Or the one who says that because I said "damn," that I was using offensive and foul language. Fortunately these calls were recorded, so they came unstuck.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Not at all, it just means that if you are nice and reasonable CS will bend over backwards to help. If you call up shouting and demanding you don't get very far. Bear in mind that CS takes thousands of calls a day and a good majority of those have little to do with legal obligations (one that springs to mind was a lady shouting and yelling because she couldn't use her new touchscreen phone as she'd had false nails put on. She demanded a replacement, I dont believe she got it).

having also had an issue with another large phone shop and a HTC phone I tend to agree with the opinion that these shops think they are above the law, and their policies fly in the face of common sense.

love the tip on the court forms, that is one to remember for future.

In my experience it's the manager of these stores that are the worst of the lot, perhaps they're incentivised to reduce the number of returns?
  • sorry i meant in what town
  • yes but shouting about the bad service so that all the other customers will hear you will help :-)
