Conservatory... money from where?

I am looking to put a conservatory on my house, it will be a huge improvement.

We have had our mortgage almost a year & wondering where we should borrow the money from? we have estimated it will cost around £5,000 as it will be mainly done by family.

Do you think we should get an advance on our mortgage?

Thanks.

Probably extending the mortgage will be your cheapest option, unless you can wait until you've saved the money...

I would advise not to. Save up for it. I did the same thing with a car - the car is sold and I am still paying off the loan! How long would it take you to save £5k and in that time is your kitchen unusable? If its not, then just live with it whilst you save.
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
