My wedding ring...

I don't work there any more and I must admit at our branch (which is now closed) the dragon worked on jewellery (your description reminded me of her.)
I'd glad you've found your ring... It's always hard picking jewellery, I don't know about you, but I found the wedding ring the hardest thing to pick (out of the ring and the dress) as it's the one thing that you'll wear every single day (which I think is pretty exciting but scary all the same.)❤Planned our wedding, still planning lessons❤

No.
A single 0.15 carat diamond is pretty tiny (just over 3mm across). Splitting that into 9 stones basically gives you tiny little chips. More info below.

That said, if you love the ring, what does it matter?!Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

Agree with mildred - frankly .15 carats across 9 stones is pretty small - but it really doesn't matter at all.
"Value" is also a strange concept with these things. Yes, I'm sure if I digged around I could find you a ring with more bang per buck, maybe .2 carats for the same money - but what would be the point? If you love the thing, it fits and you can afford it, it sounds like a winner to me.0 -
Thank you MrsShawtobe, I was just browsing wedding rings online before we go and have a look at them tomorrow. I'm going to have a look in Chappelle as there is one near me. Thanks for sharing. X0

Hi,
I bought my wedding ring yesterday (big day is 5th May 2012!!)
I got mine from Goldsmiths for free, should be £249 having saved up Tesco clubcard points. They're currently x4 value if you trade in points for Goldsmiths vouchers, returning to x3 after Christmas.
We've been collecting unwanted receipts from friends & family & trading in old mobile phones etc. Currently saving up for OH ring when the vouchers are due to be sent out in Feb. All in all, we've saved around £550 off the budget

I really don't think the ring is bad value at all. The diamonds are tiny which is why the price is too. The diamonds can be made to look bigger with metal settings and sometimes bulked out with CZ. If you love it then great go for it, if you don't love it look elsewhere

Yeah I do love it, and I'm not fussed that the diamonds aren't massive. I just don't know anything about diamonds etc so was curious

Made me realise how rubbish for diamonds the one in argos was then! Pretty much the same ring, but had 5 points of diamonds in it. And it literally is pretty much the same.
But the reason I've gone with Chapelles one is that they are a jewellers rather than a 'we sell everything' shop like argos, and that I trust the quality of gold more.0 -
And you're welcome lazarou_true
Good luck finding your ring! They were lovely in the shop where I went, hopefully it will be just as nice an experience at yours

Also! Had a call yesterday saying my ring is in the store to go pick up!
So I'm off to collect it today, and OH is hopefully going to choose his. He is getting his from argos as he's not as fussed about it as me. Plus a plain white gold band in argos is £40 max, whereas even in Chapelles the cheapest ring thats white gold is £180, and thats for a really thing female band. The size he'd want is £205 upwards, so argos it is
I feel harsh that mine is expencive compared to his but he says its what he wants
