Unemployment always baffles me. There's always jobs going in bars, supermarkets, corner shops. No shop experience? Start for a month in a Charity shop working for nothing, then go for the bigger fish....
.
When my brother was unemployed, and started working in a charity shop to pass the time while he was looking for a permanent job, he was told when he went to sign on the next week that he would lose his unemployment benefit if he continued doing voluntary work. By working in Oxfam, he was apparently considered to be wasting valuable time that he could have spent job-hunting.
Also, there are not 'always' jobs going in bars, supermarkets and shops. It depends totally on what the job market's like where you live. If you live in area where there's high unemployment and a lot of social deprivation, those jobs are very hard to come by because those are the jobs that the people living in the area are most able to do and they get snapped up very quickly.0 -
He should put them up

If Scott really has issues with what Charlene does for a living, he should talk to her about it.
If Charlene is really serious about making a go of her job, she should offer to pay the standard rate to Scott for putting the poster up.
It seems to me that Charlene is trying to get something for nothing. If Scott wants to help Charlene he should agree to put the poster up IF it is amended to show the true cost of the session and pictures to the clients AND if Charlene pays the going rate.0
