This one is a bargain as well. The painted ones are really good for not showing fingerprints either.

Not sure why anyone ever needs to replace their Brabantia. They have a lifetime guarantee. The catch stopped working on our lid so I called Brabantia. Got a new lid in the post!

I bought the white pedal one (30l) from Sainsbury to replace the exact same one I've had for 20 years and 6 months now (wedding gift!) the old one still works perfectly but is rather yellowed and slightly dented due to mishaps now, time for a refresh. Oh, and I get Nectar points too. I like the white to match my units and prefer the good old pedal style. If needed, the lid stays up by itself anyway.

Brabantia replaced an ironing board for my parents when theirs wouldn't go up and stay there. Immediate and trouble free, excellent service.

That is a huge bargain. My husband went into town the other week and came back with a new bin from the ironmonger (exactly the same) telling me I didn't want to know how much it cost. Too right I ddn't because when I "found" the receipt it was £96 AND he had bought two bags of binliners for it. Nice bin and all that but £96. Mental price unless you are made of money, let's hope it lasts at least 20 years!

Buy one from Sainsburys NOW before the price rockets and return the nice new one to your ironmonger. Tough on the local trader but you will have enough money to buy yourself a more personal gift.
  • Thank you op just ordered one, £43.30 including p & p, the black bin was showing at £64.99 though :(

Unless I've missed something, but Sainsburys also have a 30L one with a wee 3Lone with it aswell, maybe for the bathroom rather than the kitchen..? For £36.65 for both..

That's for the pedal bin, not the touch bin. Good deal though for those wanting a pedal bin.
  • Thank you - I have wanted one of these for years and years but couldn't justify £60/70 for it. £40 is on the better side. V happy.
  • It's gone up to £67.99 now. :(
