Hi,
Have just purchased Archos 70 tablet. Was hoping to put a couple of movies on for DD
DD has got an animated DVD which came with a digital copy, ideal for media players.
I followed the instructions and copied the digital file from the DVD to my PC, the files are WMV
I tried to play these files via my PC, but the picture is completely distorted, with no sounds at all. I also copied to the tablet, but the files wouldn't play at all?
Any ideas?

You could check if it is the player
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
Or try converting it to AVI
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
Also see if the frame rate is the same as the player prefers0 -
Thanks Santer
I already use VLC anyway, am just trying to convert now with your suggested converter.
How do I check the frame rate?
Thank you"Hope for the Best

When you open the video converter, in the panel on the left, video frame rate is listed, click the figure and a drop down menu arrow should show, use that to set the frame rate0

Have just converted to avi file, but, still won't work on either PC or Tablet?
Have tried playing with VLC and WMP, but no luck
I know the tablet definately plays avi as 2 demos already on there are both avi
Thanks anyway - maybe the DVD digital files are corrupted."Hope for the Best

this digital copy likely has DRM preventing it being played on anything but windows media player, this will also prevent it being converted into another format.0

i think there are some problem with your video format.
The Archos 70 tablet support lots format such as:AVI,MP4,MKV,MOV,RMVB,FLV.
You can just use a video converter to convert the files to the right format at the right size.0
