section 75... what next?

in Credit cards
as i recently posted some time ago, i purchased a suite which arrived damaged/poor quality, i raised this with the merchant to no avail, i then filed a section 75 with my CC, they have now said they can not assist any further, no reason given. i just wonder if anyone has been in this situation before, whats the next course of action? small claims?

Did they say why it wouldn't go any further? Did they need an independent report, for example?0

they said they had insufficient information, i have sent them everything they have asked for, photo's, correspondance to and from the merchant, 3rd party report. i have wrote to them to ask what else they require but still awaiting response.0
