hi all
Newbie sorry! Just found out a friend has claimed £9k from Halifax from 2 loans. Over the last ten years i've had 5 loans (2 still o/s) and 3 credit cards all with PPI so think I should try claiming.
I've spent the last few hours reading hundreds of posts which have been really informative so I thank you but is there there a thread thats details how to get the ball rolling from the start. I know there are numerous companies who can handle claims for you but i'd prefer to do it myself.

You dont need a thread. It is very simple.

You make a complaint to Halifax saying why you think each of the loans and credit cards you have had was mis-sold with PPI. You give your reasons and send it in to Halifax complaints team.

Halifax are one of the easier to complain from as they have a massive backlog and are auto upholding complaints whether you were mis-sold or not. So, just registering the complaint is all it takes.
