Very dissapointed with camera I bought

Options
Hi, I just bought an Olympus camera form Asda yesterday, it cost £169. I'm not happy with it at all. It's not broken and there is no fault it's just the quality of images are very poor. It is set up correctly.

Before I was using a camera of similar price that belonged to my uncle and it is just so much better.

Can I take it back for a refund?

Jamie

Maybe. According to Asda's website, http://your.asda.com/about-asda/exchanges-and-refunds:
    Electrical products

We [...] offer a 28 day exchange or refund on any electrical item which we call our ‘Changed Your Mind’ promise. If you do change your mind, simply return the product store in its original condition with the original receipt or proof of purchase within 28 days, and we’ll give you a full refund or replacement. To qualify for an exchange or refund, products must be returned in their original condition, packaging is preferred but not essential.

Worth a try but don't be surprised if they say no as it isn't in its orginal condition as it is now a used camera.

Wow! That's quite a generous returns policy. Let's hope it works in practice.

I am not sure, by reading the policy, that by using it wouldn't be as in original condition. The title of policy is, "Change your mind."

Yay! I phoned first and they said "no probs" to a return! I took it back and got my money back. Simples! Thank goodness, really was a woeful camera!

That's brilliant news. I will certainly consider ASDA for my next purchase of similar items.

Asda is pretty good. But if you wanna buy stuff from Asda I'd just check out what you were buying first so you dont make the error I did!
