As I have said before, we only seem to get this stupid and artificial limit in this country. If you travel on any motorway on the continent there are are no such restrictions on how long you can park.

Yes but there are plenty of other things about motorway driving on the continent, still not the place to argue them here ;) I agree though that this pathetic rule they try and impose should be changed, there should be no limit to the time spent in a service station, they are never ever full, its driver safety, that must come first, 2 hours is sometimes not enough.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

If I was PM, one of the first things I would do is get rid of the 2 hours "free" parking limit at motorway service stations

Unfortunately it was the Debt of Transport as it was then, that but that clause in the lease's for these places. All they had to offer was 2 hours free!

I had many an argument with the operators before PPC's came into these places. I had lorries and they had to run to log book/tachographs so if you run out of time on a motorway you had no choice but to stop and stay until you had your rest period.
Used to get invoices off the operators themselves argued then ignored them! Then later on some PPC's argued then ignored never paid any of them.
One "Granada services" phoned me a couple of times, simply said if you think I owe you, take me to court, they never did.

2nd notice received this morning, will file it with the other one. I wonder how many of these will be sent out. They can carry on, they won't get a penny from us.:rotfl::rotfl:
  • Good on you! Now tell as many people as you can that this is a scam!
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue.
