  • Zep, i am trying to so more of planning a day in advance too - even if it is getting the marinating done the day before it really helps.

I marinated my chicken for tonight 2 days ago and put it in the freezer (hope thats ok to do, never done that before!). Will take out this morning and put in fridge ready to grill it later...

I am using the page a day diary quite well - although need to keep it looking clear rather than scribbling with my awaful handwriting. Nearly bought a £5 family planner type thing, but realised I dont need it and dont really have any space to put it up since I have been decluttering, so will stick witht he diary....need to get DH to use it too....
  • Wow Grannyknits - amazing amount of work and dedication into your folder - love it! I have out a limit on kids birthdays this year £10 max per child!! I buy for about 20 kids (neices, nephews and close friends kids) not including school friends etc - so really cant afford to be spending £20 on each pressie. Dont do adult birthdays pressies very often, ususally a card and a meal with a couple of close friends.

  • Have read through this thread again to get me motivated. Have been suffering with anxiety recently due to overload and trying to do basic flylady routines. I need to make lists - even if I only do 1 household task a day and do it "good enough", it gives me a pick-me-up.

SO - have got a nice A5 diary and have been looking over what sections I would really need and what would work for me - looks like household tasks (really like the idea of making appointments to do speicifc things - could be flylady daily missions i suppose....), appointments & events, money spent (excluding grocery / household budget).

Will be updating my lovely new diary tonight in front of the fire!
