I have a little jotter by the kettle that I write all that I want to get done that day also any shopping bit that I need 'essentials only' so I never run out of things.I once worked for a chap in London who insisted that if you wrote down all you wanted to get done that day and crossed them off as you did them you would get so much more achieved (he was right it does work)
As I live alone its sometime easy to think 'Oh I'll do it tomorrow', then it gets left or forgotten. But I like to be organised to a certain extent and I find life so much easier if I do all my chores first thing then I have the rest of the day off to do what I fancy doing like reading, knitting meeting friends or just going for a hobble round to the park( great in the spring and cheaper than walking round the shops ):):)0 -
Go for it! I use a Filofax as a version of Flylady's control journal. I have i-devices but pen and paper still work best for me in terms of organisation.0

This is really all I've ever done - I have a huge number of large notebooks that over many years have contained lists of all sorts. Sometimes I've organised them into sections (e.g. housework, food, garden, presents, etc) but other times it's been a page per day of what needs doing. I always wish I could be super-organised, but this does help! Hope it works for you too.Resolution:

Excellent idea! Everything in one place so that you can be focussed, and see how much ground you have covered when ticking off those lists! All the best with it - think I'll pinch the idea myself0

I have a filofax also, I was given it last year and *ahem*
was so disorganised I never used it.
But...haha, I have ordered and received 2012 diary pages and am now busy filling it up with things. It has 'to do' list section too which is great.
I've also recycled another notebooks calculator which slots neatly into the front section as I always need a calculator and can never find one.:cool:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

I thought I might abandon mine after a month or two, but I've used it for a year now and love it. I was inspired by this post:

I have an organiser, a diary, a mid year diary for all my open university stuff, a calendar with everything on it, to do list magnetised on my fridge along with a shopping list, general notes and a whiteboard. But now I am thinking that a large notebook would be good to have everything in one place and it would be larger, everything is pretty small right now so this would big it up.
Decent enough plan for avoiding my essay, I am off to copy everything to my new planner! Thanks OP!Credit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

I have a Filofax, which I use as my diary and general notes but I'm going to adapt it for 2012 to write down what I do and need to do each day. I'm hoping that this will keep me motivated!
For work, I have a little note book which I can write a short list and it feels better to actually have it on a smaller piece of paper as it doesn't outface me!
Great ideas. Thanks very much for sharing! :jSealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
I think they are all good ideas and I will certainly be writing me lists. A friend of mine has laminated a list of regular items she has in her freezer, for example mince meat, frozen peas; she then ticks the items if she has used it all, she also does the same with her tin food.0
