Hi,
I am considering buying a house which needs updating. I would like to add a conservatory on it to increase the value but I have no idea how much they cost. Obviously this is VERY VERY rough, but for a standard upvc conservatory with bricks up to knee/waist high and the rest glass, what kind of figure am I looking at? It would be a small-medium size, just to be used to use a dining table and chairs in it. I seriously don't know if it's afew thousand (doubtful!) or 25k, so any help would much much appreciated.
This is the kind of thing I mean; http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-14281771.rsp?pa_n=40&tr_t=buy (see picture number 5)
I will of course get proper estimates etc if I decide to buy the house and do the work, but this is just a vague idea to work out what I would want to spend on the house.
Thank you very much!

My dad who is manager of a window fitting firm did mine on his own. 4m x 3m, waist high bricks, patio doors out to garden, plastering etc and it cost me 4k. I think he said had it been done through his firm it would of cost 8-12k. This is in North West England about 2 years ago.
Hope that helps.
This is a house on my estate and similar style conservatory. Much bigger than the one you showed me.Saving needed to emigrate to Oz*September 2015*
£11,860.00 needed = £1,106 in savings

Hi, we had a 10x12 conservatory 3 years ago. It cost just under £10,000. Blinds cost £300, laminate floor about £100. The price included all electrics etc.
You will need to think about heating it as well. We use a large oil filled radiator and a huge fan in the summer as it gets very hot in there! We use it all the time and have our dining table and a settee in there.
Best of luck0 -

I had a similar quote from B&Q 2 years ago, but that price is for supplying the conservatory only. I asked for a quote to include concrete base, electricals, installing the conservatory (i.e. the finished product), and the quote shot up to £10,000.0
