Can't quite put my finger on how to describe it but want more ideas to get the feel of early exploration - see photo of the map that is already on the wall. The room is a study/spare room - desk, chair, computer, futon + chest of drawers and not much else at the moment.

Some bits I am looking at:
Telescope: http://www.homedecorators.com/P/Explorer_Telescope/
Globe Drinks Cabinet: http://www.zoffolistore.com/37-desk-globe-with-small-drinks-holder-.html
Any ideas greatly appreciated for things to buy or ways to decorate.
