Studying going slowly, but steadily, I've just over 24 hours to finish the first assignment and then as I've finished (but failed to understand) the reading I'll attempt the second while I re-read the text in hope of getting it done by the end of the week, ambitious much....

Whilst doing this studying I have been proudly wearing my Noras Thoughts wrap and the tealight holders look soo pretty. :)

That's me....aiding study all over the land! :rotfl:

So, what's the subject we're reading about at the moment?

Its chemistry, I've done the easy questions and hit the brick wall for the night so will have to reread and redo the complicated ones tomorrow.

I have to admit the studying hasn't been helped by having a friend texting me all evening to ask how on earth to stop his daughter from destroying his room....apparently my suggestion of put her in a sack and lock her in the cupboard was inappropriate and unfair - well he knows I'm not exactly the most child friendly of people so what on earth did he expect!

You gave better advice than I would...but then suggesting a severe beating so often offends...;)

Chemistry, huh? *shuffles towards the door* ummmm....

Oh no I suggested a severe beating too, also suggested he treat her like an unwanted ginger step child.....but erm well she is a red headed child and almost certainly his since he's only just on the blonde side of ginge (both of the parents are welsh so its probaby less surprising that shes ginger and more of a surprise that shes human given the potential for the combined genetics). :o I think I need to apologise tomorrow although he doesn't seem to be offended which is quite amazing given so far tonight I have
    • suggested several methods of child restraint that would probably get me/him locked up
    • insulted the child's hair colour
    • accused my mate of having rocks for brains
    • informed him that he is fat and been hit by too many branches of the ugly tree to be a viable human
    • suggested that his children may be genetically faulty thus need killing out of mercy
    • called him an utter 'creature'
    • asked him if the army let him join as a regimental mascot since he's clearly not capable of being a solider.

I can only think just how lucky I am that my mates know I have a cruel and sarcastic streak the width of the Atlantic Ocean and they love me anyway!

*waves a bag of counters in noras general direction* If I have to suffer so do you :)

In his case as an infanteer who is a brickie by trade and currently working as a storeman (who admits to counting on his fingers and toes no less) I don't think I have much to fear....

Everything except the periodic table.... :D

Which is why I'm giving up for the evening, and am going to make myself concentrate for several hours tomorrow between trips to the post office and sorting and clearing out some of the accumulated rubbish which is still lying about the place despite my efforts to tidy up (things are in heaps now rather than scattered all over at least).

Ahh but the periodic table is easy - the smallest element (at the top numbered 1) is made of three little pieces of material - and one of them orbits it, the bigger the number the more orbiting pieces there are....I tend to think of it as an arrangement of planets around a star. :)

But the rest is utter utter gobbledegook. :o
