Paypal - address unconfirmed?

How do I get my address confirmed, I have seen very few people with this but most UK addresses don't seem to be, is there a way to do it?

Click on "how do i verify my account" in paypal. It gives you several options. It will send you a letter in the post with a code you enter on the paypal site to confirm that you actually have a valid address. It can also verify your account with a home phone number - along similar lines to the letter.

are you guys not at cross-purposes?

my Paypal account is UNVERIFIED but my address is CONFIRMED.

there are 3 stages to VERIFY your account:

"Set Up Direct Debit
Setting up Direct Debit allows you to electronically transfer any funds from your PayPal account into your bank account. When you click the link to confirm, PayPal will deposit two small amounts into your bank account. Check your bank statement to find the amounts, and then enter them on the PayPal website to confirm the account and become Verified.

Validate Your Account Information
You can validate your account information by adding a credit card and then either authenticating your address by phone or in writing, or by completing Expanded Use Enrolment.

Supply Merchant Information
As a fraud prevention measure, we require some additional information from our Business and Premier accounts."

By contrast I think you just have to have your Paypal address the same as that which is registered with your credit card to have your address CONFIRMED. That said, according to Paypal: "Most non-US addresses cannot be confirmed at this time because many international credit card platforms do not support methods to do so".

My Paypal address was UNCONFIRMED for a while but now I notice it is showing as "HOME CONFIRMED". I have my Barclaycard linked to my Paypal account so presumably their "platform" does support Paypal's confirmation methods, but possibly other credit cards do not support this. I'm only quoting from my own experience, so if anyone else can shine any light on how this works, I'd be interested to hear.

I'm both now, but I wanted to be confirmed as was already verified.

I have 2 ebay Ids.
One verified and confirmed address with paypal.
The other one is not.
Used the same details for both.
Used the same card & bank account.
paypal say my second ID is Confirmed but when I make a payment it comes up address unconfirmed.
Go figure.

So how do I get confirmed? I am already verified and have my card attached to my a/c, please can you advise how you did it?
