Anyone ever used 192.com to find someone?

Here's what i'm wanting:

My dad never really kept photos of his family, but when doing the family tree we were able to track a few down.
My dads brother died really young in his 20s in the 1960s i think it was. My dad died this year in September.

We were able to get a few photos of my uncle when doing the tree - but they were of him as a child. My sister mentioned this week she would've liked some photos of him as an adult.

In doing the tree, i found out that my uncles wife married at least twice after him. I was able to get a name for her 3rd husband.

So i threw this into 192.com & there is indeed a woman of that name with a man of that name in the area we live.

I'd like to get an address so i can write a letter to this woman asking if she's the one i'm looking for.

Before i pay for & potentially waste money on, credits, would 192.com provide this?

Comments

  • it would give you the full address and anyone else who lives at the address yes. its £34 and something pence. I buy the credits whether it is an old address or current i do not know
  • yes I used it when I discovered that an old schoolfriend that I had been looking for had died - I was devastated and wanted to write to his sister - I used the public records to trace her married name, then 192.com to get her address - I think it was £5 for the credits and came up no problem.
  • Yes it does, Ive found someone using it. I didn't pay £34 though I think it was about £10 for ten searches.

    Thanks guys

Aye, the cheapest option i saw was about £11 inc tax.
  • Try Tracesmart, ive found them very useful in the past

    www.tracesmart.co.uk

You can pay as little as £3.49 for 5 searches, its a really good site, but if you dont intend to carry it on month by month make sure u cancel your account within the 30days from sign up.
