Just logged into my ebay account today, first time since completing Christmas shopping at the end of November. Shock, horror, my account was hacked on 15th December.
Some lowlife tried to buy over 3 grands worth of stuff with my paypal account!!!!!
But, Co-op saved the day - I have a seperate cashminder account for internet use, and I only transfer the amount I need when making a purchase, thank heavens for this personal policy, as there was nowhere near enough in the account for any of the transactions to be authorised.
Spent a couple of hours between phone calls to ebay, paypal and the bank, but all sorted now, account back in my control, and new card on the way from the co-op. Massively impressed by the calm, competent and helpful staff at all 3 institutions....made a very anxious, and stressful time much easier.
thanks!!!
