                    Hi
I am new and have never used this forum before, so be kind!! I have a M&S 0% credit card and wanted to use this to pay for part of the cost of the car but the company won’t accept payments by credit card (presumably so they can try and flog their costly finance). Is there anything I can do to pay using the available credit on this card? Can I ask M&S for a cheque and cash this then use the funds to pay for the car or would I then be charged cash advance interest rates?

tbh if they wont let you pay in the way you want i`d walk away, lots of dealers do accept cc`s,but they do charge 2% fee, cash from a cc will usually attract quite a high rate of interest0

Tell the garage you will go elsewhere?
This might just change their minds..
I take it they are refusing to take it rather than unable to take it - ie they physically can take cards but won't in this instance.0

            Hi
They can take credit cards because I can pay a refundable bond by credit card and it will be refunded to the credit card. Will probably wait til it's nearly ready to collect then tell them I will go elsewhere if they won't accept. I won't be forced into their finance. If they won't take it they will need to wait for the sale until I arrange another loan.

 1. Get an M&S credit card
 2. Buy Sterling TCs with the M&S card from an M&S bureau de change (online/phone/in-store)
 3. Take the TCs to your bank and pay them in
 4. Wait for them to clear
 5. Grab the cash!
It really is that simple, but with one caveat...make sure your bank will accept them before buying them.
As above, thats a way.Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

have you not signed for the car? if you have it wont be cancelable and you will get chargedDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

            Hi
I have signed for the car but it's being transferred from another branch & subject to a test drive. So would loose the £100 transfer fee. I'm not really looking to back out of the deal just trying to figure out how to pay as little interest/fees as possible.
Will check with my bank to see if they will accept the traveller cheques if that works it would be great. Thanks saints20110
