Faulty lock sensors? Its not picking up the signal that the remote locking has activated. Are you
opening with the key or remote fob?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Happens when starting?
Pretty simple then really......... Your car battery is weak and/or the backup battery in the alarm siren unit is knackered.
I had to cut my alarm siren open to replace the internal battery pack not long ago (same unit as yours).
My bet is that both your main battery and siren backup battery are on their last legs, the alarm is going off because it's sensing a huge drop in battery voltage when you start the car, thus making it think the car is being tampered with.
If you remove the siren, you MUST have the keys in the ignition and the ignition on else it'll alarm and (I suspect it might) lock down the immobiliser, rendering your car less useful than a 1 tonne house brick.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Zafiras fitted with the factory fitted alarm eventually suffer from a fault where the battery back up rechargeable battery built into the siren fails with age. The easy and expensive remedy is to fit a new siren/battery which is around £150 for the part from Vauxhall. Fitting will be extra. There may not be any advantage in buying secondhand if the cells of the secondhand battery are also aged. The man without a signature.0
