Choosing A Levels - a different perspective please

My son had to choose between GCSE History and Geography both he was good at but he chose Geography. He took up History at AS level because they said it would be no problem, not having done History GCSE but he has found it very hard, far too much politics. He seems to be doing the political system pre first world war

I am surprised how much Narrative writing there is at degree level which I was always told was a very low level skill at school let alone university.:beer:0
