Think I'm doing something wrong??
Whenever anyone else quotes another poster it seems to come up in a lovely little box with coloured background. - Mine don't? I click the 'quote' button and sometimes edit the quote before I add my reply but otherwise not sure what I might be doing wrong - any suggestions?
No mine dosent either, never noticed till you mentioned this.
Ah yes it does put it in a box when submitted.Slimming World at target0 -
oh woe, half my budget gone and only 12th of the month. Money is zooming out of my purse - healthy things though like fruit, fruit and more fruit, 3 lots of weetbix on the 72 pack deal at Lidl and.............well food i suppose!
Main meals still coming from freezer so not sure what else to do. Will keep trying

Just back from doing our biggish shop thus hoping we won't have to go shopping for several days:p.
Spent £40.10 at A*di and topped up cupboards. Mostly things like rice, jars and tins as we'd run our stock right down. Then OH nipped into MrS when we went past and spent £5.20. He got some whoopsies- Big bag of spuds for 15p, pack of grapes for 15p, 4xpacks of mango/pineapple chunks usually about £1.80 each for 10p each, a pack of prawns for 40p, a couscous salad for DD's lunch tomorrow for 20p.
Now must menu plan....
Am really pleased with how our GC is going this month so farGrocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

Hi, All
I'm failing miserably at keeping up with reading the thread. Apologies to all who have posted. I've tried and failed
But I'm still focused on the challenge. Have had another good run of NSDs and have been for the weekly shop tonight and (mostly) managed to stick to the pretty short list - just got one extra being reduced beef skirt that I've split in half and will do two lovely meaty tasting casseroles - a little of this cut of meat goes a long long way taste-wise.
So a total spend of £16.79 tonight which included cat litter, veges, fruit, bread flour, eggs. I resisted everything else :T
I now have only £17 left of my budget...and half the month to go...Scary....will I do it?
"Stay tuned follks!"
Hope y'all are doing well. Take care

54p on a tea at work and then approx £6 on a chippy that DH bought on the way back from picking up a tumble dryer for his mum.
Cancelled my veg box today as DH and I were really disappointed wth the quantity although the quality was good. There was much less than when we got them last year.
Only need a bit of fruit, cheese, dog food and skimmed milk this weekend. Well, I need shower gel and other stuff too but I am not buying it until my Feb challenge starts next Thursday. If I run out of shower gel I will use DS baby bath cos I have to use something mild but can't stomach his full fat milk_pale_ Expecting to spend not much more than a tenner as DH has decided he is not going to have any beers this weekend as he is still feeling under the weather as am I:(
Although I may end up £20 over budget I will be chuffed to bits with what I have achieved this month as this includes Christmas food, booze and about 4 takeaways and means I will have spent £104/week against a target of £100/week.:DSave £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
more spending today
£4.35 loo roll and washing up liquid
£6.50 lunch with little girl for being so good at health visitor appointment
£6.99 2 boxes of chocs for two forgotten birthdays
Feeling dubious about getting to end of month, but knew it would be trial and error this first month.GC 2012 - £192.84/£200
NSD's - Jan '12 - 4/310 -
Hi, quick update.
£5 Asda on fruit.
£28 sainsbugs
£24 M&S
£5 in home bargains
Doing ok and still using Xmas leftovers. Hope all are well.0 -
Ventured into the SM today and bought a few necessary items and a couple of unnecessary ones (grrrr!) bringing today's spend to £12.84. I've got £35 ideally left til payday (31 Jan!) but know that this month is a bit of trial and error.
I have however started using CW18's famous spreadsheet - just finished typing in my grocery purchases and the results are illuminating! Gonna try and get into the habit of filling the sheet in so that I can knock some pointless buys on the head![STRIKE]Debt Jan 09 = £10,046[/STRIKE] Debt-free since 16/12/2011
