54p on a large tea at work today.
Absoloutely shattered again after work but resisted DH offer to go the chippy and made sausage, mash, roast parnsips (frozen and left over from Christmas), carrots and gravy.
£2.30 over budget with 8 days left until pay day. I have huge amounts of fresh fruit and veg left from my shop at the end of last week and my veg box. Managed to chop 3 heads of celery for the freezer and use some carrots but I must sort out/eat the rest or it will be wasted and I will be
Tomorrow night I am going to make a big batch of roasted veg (it always shrinks down loads doesn't it?) with cous cous and grilled halloumifor tea and get DH to chop the melon and the pineapple to take to work.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%

NSD again today. Shredded wheat x 2 for breakfast, cheese sandwich for lunch, jacket potato with tuna mayo and cheese. Absolutely none of my 5 a day! I am so lazy about eating healthily!!! Which is bad really since I spend all day at work telling people that they should eat a healthy balanced diet full of fruit and veg!!!Separated 17/06/10, now dealing with the falloutHouse sold and debt cleared 23rd May 2014. Now saving to get married!Current savings £00

My son had even told her that he couldn't eat oats. The whole lot ended up going in the bin because he couldn't eat them & nobody else liked them, presumably because of the g/f cereal that was in them.
That's awful  I hope you had a few words with her.GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100 -
Hooray - at long last a NSD for me! Thought it was never going to happen for me. Things just kept having to be bought.....mainly thanks to the kids. Know that in spite of my hiccups so far I'm doing SO much better than any other month EVER : )0

Just started on the full money makeover and found this thread - is it too late to be involved or is the occasional latecomer okay? Not really sure what to do but think I have the gist of it from reading the posts :embarasseGrocery Challenge 2012January £300(Us two, 2 kids, 2 cats and 1 rabbit)0 -

Thought I was doing ok until I tallied up that I have spent £109 out for my £300 budget already but that does include me bulk buying my pet food which will last a few months so I suppose not too bad, I actually estimated £300 so it will be interesting to see what I do actually spend in a month and that is me watching what I spend!!
Can I ask do you include everything in your total ie grocery shopping as well as the extra teas ect or just what you spend at the supermarket.:DPay off ALL my debt by Xmas 2012 ChallengePaid Jan £1027.83/Feb £917.97/Mar £1353.67/Apr £1367.19#259 Total £4643.67/£12,636:eek:Lose 14lbs in 2012 9/14lbs:eek::TJanuary Grocery Challenge £263.98/£300:TFebruary Grocery Challenge £0/£300

Not a problem at all Katie, the more the merrier
The idea is to set your budget and try to stick to it and then some of us are trying slowly to reduce it and some have their ideal target and are trying to stay there.
When you are ready to set your budget just post it in red and Hellen will add it to the roll of honour.
