Paypal help please.

Hi I ordered a game from Zavvi and a few days later cancelled as they couldn't post until the New Year. I paid using Paypal and the full amount was taken from my account immediately.

How long does it take for the refund to go back into my paypal account?

The order was cancelled on 15th Dec and isn't back yet.

From my past experience the time taken depends on how the paypal payment was funded (was it from a positive balance or from a linked account)? If it was from a positive balance, the refund should be immediate - if from a linked account, you will have to wait until the initial transaction has cleared (15th December seems long enough). Have you logged into your paypal account to check what is recorded there - if there's a hold on the refund it should tell you.

should be in your account by now..
if it was from a debit/credit card then it takes up to 5 working days to show in the account

if it was from paypal funds then it should show straight away.. just depends when they have issued the refund..
have you asked zavvi if they have processed a refund?

Hi I ordered on 11th Dec from my paypal balance and cancelled on 15th Dec. The only entry on my paypal account is :-

11 Dec 2011 Order To Zavvi.com Cancelled Details Order To Zavvi.com O-XXXXXXXXXXXXXX -£24.95 ...

I am guessing that -£24.95 means that it has left my account

yeah its left the account and from the looks of it they havent refunded yet..
