International Arena Handling fees

Hi everyone, Hope you all had a great Christmas!
My boyfriend bought some tickets from motorpoint arena in Cardiff to see Mrs Brown's Boys in May. These were presents and he got charged £6 handling fee on each ticket.
Is this right? It seems scandalous and very wrong to me, especially as they were all in his name and there were 9 of them!!
Is there anyway we can claim this back or do anything about it? Does anyone know?

Nope nothing he can do about it - though I agree its a total rip off.

Perhaps these 'booking fees' can be the thing that the OFT looks at in 2012 - but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything to be done about it anytime soon.

Yup, it's correct. However, I think with most places, if you buy in person and pay with cash, your tickets are fee free

I've booked tickets for Mrs Browns Boys at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena for September 2012. I paid one booking fee of £8.85 which was 10% of the cost for 3 tickets. Did you book directly with the Arena ? If you used a ticket agent thats why you have been charged per ticket, i booked directly with Motorpoint.
