Best glue for china?

My absolute favourite china mug has lost it's handle and I am desperate to mend it. Luckily I have the broken handle so am hoping it can be re-attached.
Most 'super glue' type products seem to be pretty hopeless, so what do people suggest as a good and permanent glue? I have a solvent based adhesive that I used in a recent DIY plumbing job...would that be suitable?
I guess I would be pushing my luck to expect anything that would be dishwasher proof???

Araldite do one just for ceramics.....
Probably cheaper to buy a new mug though....http://www.amazon.co.uk/ARALDITE-RAPID-CERAMIC-GLASSS-ADHESIVE/dp/B000WA7RMM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324982965&sr=8-10 -
Whatever you use I wouldn't want to use it again afterwards.

Thanks for replies, will look into the Araldite.
I know a new mug would be cheaper, but this one has sentimental value....
However, events have taken a new turn. My cat with abandonment issues did not like me locking her out of the bathroom while I had a shower, so the little !!!!!! sought out the mug which she broke yesterday and pushed it off the kitchen counter. Amazingly the mug itself survived, but the handle is now in 3 pieces.
So, any thought of it ever being functional again is now gone, but I will keep it for adornment purposes.0
