Cheap calls from Sweden to UK?

Hiya.
I'm going to sweden and would like to call back home (uk) on the cheap using a land line. I've used the callchecker before to call from the UK to overseas but this time i want to call the UK from sweden. I know there's various mobile offers and calling cards but are there any callchecker type access codes to do this?
Thanks!

There are 3 Finarea companies of different types, account-based prefix, dialthrough and top-up by premium rate number. 9533 told me they would accept foreign credit cards, though I didn't try in the end.

    http://www.sveritel.com/

Other than that, you might try a Google search for call cheaply or cheaper - ring billigt or ring billigare - or also look into callback services

For mobile SIMs look at Halebop or Lebara. Given Lebara Mobile's ~3p rate to UK landlines, you might be happy enough just with the mobile; they also do a calling card from landlines, but I haven't looked at it much

BTW, Storbritannien och Nordirland is Swedish for Great Britain & Northern Ireland.

9533's rate appears to be 0.05 SEK (local rate) per minute to call the UK. I think that's about 3.6p per minute - so redux's mobile SIM suggestion might be a better choice.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Oh, now I'm confused -

I didn't actually study the rates page this time, but in fact it says local rate, which if it means the same as their rate to Swedish landlines is SEK 0.05, a third of a penny; certainly I think I remember under a penny from last year, maybe 0.01 Kr.

But maybe it is higher now; I think you could send an email query on this

You're right, the exchange rate appears to be 1 SEK = about £0.072

So 0.05 SEK must be about a £0.0036 (0.36p) not £0.036 (3.6p). I'd moved the decimal point too far to the right - or do I mean left?

I did wonder that, but I don't know why they say local rate when they could easily put the actual number
